With the Increasing demand of high speed information transmission, the opticalfiber communication will develop toward larger capacity, higher speed and longer haul. The raise of speed and propagation distance aggravates the impact of dispersion andnonlinear effect. While the advanced optical modulation format and multiplexingtechnologies can effectively enhance the inhibitions capability against the transmissionimpair. So they have become the key techniques in the optical fiber communication. In this paper, a new modulation format, MAMSK, is proposed and an all opticalOOFDM transmission system combined with the MAMSK is designed. The newMAMSK modulation format is generated by combining phase modulation andmulti-amplitude modulation, thus it can reduce the symbol rates. Came from theelectric OFDM, the all optical OOFDM is a potential multiplexing technique. Becausethe adjacent sub-carriers have a half frequency overlap, its spectrum efficiency is veryhigh. On these bases, on one side, a simulation about80Gb/s optical fiber transmissionsystem based on MAMSK modulation format is made and the result verifies theMAMSK is a high-speed modulation which has a stronger resistibility againstdispersion and nonlinear effect. On the other side, the MAMSK-OOFDM simulationsystem at320Gbit/s is carried out, contrast to WDM system, the results show itsstronger capacity to restrain dispersion and nonlinear effect.
