This thesis is a systematic research on radiation performance of radiators. Different from general analysis methods on radiator, this article mainly focuses on the influence of centralized heat supply on radiator. It is found through research that centralized heat supply has an apparently negative impact on radiator performance. Therefore, we cannot simply deal with the centralized heat just with average. Up to now, there isn't too much research work in this aspect and this article shall greatly benefit the design and application of radiators. In brief, this article mainly includes the following contents: 1) introduction of algorithmic method for radiator thermal resistance and flow resistance, and how to choose the proper radiator and fan; 2) development of a 3D program for radiator computation with the integral method, additional source term method and SIP algorithm; 3) analyzing the influence of centralized heat supply on radiator performance through computation and experiments; 4) analyzing the spreading resistance caused by centralized heat supply and finding the analytical solutions and the simple format; 5) carrying a series of experiments and comparing the results with the computation results to get the satisfactory one; 6) suggesting to use heat pipe as the solution to centralized heat supply and then examining the feasibility with ICEPARK software.
