With the rapid development of miniaturized and high-frequency electronic components,cooling has become a crucial problem and design of new radiator products which can apply to high-frequency and high-heat-flux electronic components has attracted wide attention of researchers.Pulsating heat pipe radiator has the advantages of simple structure,good heat transfer performance,low starting temperature,and so on.In this paper,a new type of heat pipe radiator based on the former research of the single plate pulsating heat pipe is designed and researched.The vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator dimension is 88mm × 69mm × 59mm.The radiator consists of the porous medium hot end and the condensing end.The evaporation end is filled with foamed copper material and directly bonded to the heat source.The 5 condensing ends are arranged in parallel with the 15° array.The cold ends are spaced 2mm apart,Channel equivalent diameter 2.2mm,14 channels,consistent with the heat pipe pulsating heat transfer equivalent diameter bond number requirements.The main contents of this thesis are:combining with the previous research results,to complete the design of vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator based on chip cooling;complete the processing of vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator manufacturing;build the experimental platform,a variety of combination experiments,influence factors of filling ratio,heating power and wind speed on the heat transfer characteristics and start the research characteristics of vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator;experimental results of single plate pulsating heat pipe,computer aluminum fin radiator heat dissipation,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator design,and put forward the corresponding optimization suggestion.Through the experiment of 6 kinds of liquid filling rate(15%,20%,25%,30%,35%,respectively)of the vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator,the following conclusions can be obtained through analysis and comparison:(1)Developed the vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator the best filling rate of 25%,the minimum total thermal resistance of only 0.1 ?/W.(2)The vertical heat transfer performance of the vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator is improved,and the starting time of the radiator increases with the increase of the liquid filling rate.The starting temperature is basically the same as the increase of the filling rate.100w heating power,the heat source temperature is only 80 ?,to meet the high heat flux electronic chip thermal requirements.(3)The same experimental conditions,the vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator start-up time compared to 90° tilt angle monolithic flat pulse heat pipe start time to shorten a lot,start the temperature is lower,and the radiator heat performance is also excellent In the monolithic flat plate pulsating heat pipe.(4)Vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator compared to the current market sales of aluminum radiator cooling capacity has greatly improved,90w heating power,the vertical pulsating heat pipe radiator heat source temperature than the aluminum radiator to reduce the 25 ?,And its running stability and temperature are also far superior to the latter.
