Being the newest, fastest DSP of TI(Texas Instruments) company's C2000 product pipeline this years, the piece of DSP chip: TMS320F2812 is used in this thesis as the main CPU of our digital controller of Active Magnetic Bearing(AMB), in which analog MUX is served for the signal sampling of 5-channel displacement sensors. A digital control software was developed with the embeded C assembled with DSP assembly language. The hardware of the digital controller is designed with F2812 in which CPLD is used for the control of the DSP on the D/A converter. Provided with PID control algorithm, the experiment is carried out in the AMB system, in which the digital controller is used for the four degree radial freedom and a analog controller for the axial freedom. Ten eddy current sensors are used for the detection of rotor displacement signal and switch power amplifier is used. The experimental results show the five-degree freedom magnetic rotor can be stably suspended and rotated at high speed( this AMB experiment flat can rotated stably 15,000 rounds per minute). The stability and iteration performance of this digital control system were good, and the control precision has reached anticipated performance request.
