Generally, fast frequency hopping(FFH) system means the spread spectrum system's hopping speed is faster than 500h/s. FFH system is an important spread-spectrum system, which has excellent anti-interference capacity and causes great attention in the research field of military communication.Three essential technical factors of FFH system are deeply studied in the thesis: frequency synthesis, pseudo-random hopping pattern and synchronization. In the scheme of the system, Reed-Solomon code is adopted to produce the hopping pattern and wide frequency interval is realized by a so-called means of Symmetrical channel; effective synchronization is achieved based on the characteristics of Reed-Solomon code; DDS AD9953 is chosen as the core of frequency synthesis subsystem and DSP TMS320VC5410 as the central control unit. The baseband part of the system is realized successfully with hopping speed as fast as 2000h/s and the performances of the actual system are preferable.
