A Compound Model Of Content Analysis For Text And Its Application On Information Research

Content analysis is a quasi-quantitative method with which researchers candeeply analysis the content of information. Content analysis has been developed overa century, and today it has become a mature method system. The appearance ofcomputer brings opportunities and challenge to the method in means and objects.Information research is a comprehensive field , and the analyzed information is verycomprehensive too. It's meaningful to import content analysis into informationresearch. This paper proposed a compound model of content analysis and discussedabout its application on information research. The major research works and contributions of this paper are as follows: (1) This paper introduced the history of content analysis , the process and some indexes. (2) This paper analysed the method of computer-aided content analysis , some successful content analysis software and a content analysis case in which researchers use VBPro. (3) This paper introduced two classical algorithm about the analysis of keywords, and then proposed a compound model of content analysis .In this model the mechanism of weighting the keywords as their positions was imported. (4) The sample in this paper is limited to the scientific reports. Because the structure of scientific reports is so good that researchers can formatted these reports to make the machine identify the structure of them. One report were selected and analyzed by hand according the compound model of content analysis. (5) According the application of the model, this paper proposed some ideas about the improvement of this model. The innovation of the paper is the compound model of content analysis , and thewriter imported the mechanism of weighting the keywords as their positions. In theapplication of this model, the writer brought up a way in which we can identify thestructure of some documents.
