The main object of research in this paper is the intelligentize CAD/CAM of crank-shaft. It realizes intelligentize size marking of crank-shaft with Pro/Engineer and it's secondary development technology, and implements working instruction of numerical control machine and fufils CAD/CAM integration through data transmission between CAD/CAM .The task in this paper is as follows: Firstly, according to analysis of the structure characteristics and working feature, and integrate the function and characteristic of Pro/Engineer, the full-scale mock-up of crank-shaft have set up. Secondly, it probes into the fundamental principle and expert knowledge of intelligentize size marking of shaft part, which takes the crank-shaft for the example. It also analyses the relevant factors and information of size marking of crank-shaft, knowledge base of size marking established, and realizes intelligentize size marking of crank-shaft with the application of development technology of Pro/TOOLKIT program. Thirdly, by means of data transfer between CAD/CAM and utilizing Pro/NC technology, it dynamical displays the path demonstration of the cutter and working emulation, generating code of numerical control working after something must be done by post-processor. Fouthly, it fulfilsthe path demonstration of the cutter and working emulation in lathe work the main journal and the rod journal of crank-shaft after the research on them with Pro/Engineer.This paper has proposed an implementation method of intelligentize CAD/CAM, and studied intelligentize size marking and Pro/NC technology and working emulation technology, which all based on the crank-shaft. It sets up certain foundation for studies intelligentize CAD/CAM.
