The Design And Implementation Of Student Management Information System

Student's information management is a key to manage a school which involve student enrollment, student status records, grade records, and charge management and so on. It tends to adopt computer information technology to manage student information which will provides exact student informatiom in time and raise the management's work efficiency.This paper is based on the requirements of Sichuan Mianyang water and power school in student information management. The school's organization structure and student management flow is analyzed and the primal documents related to student information management are gathered. The goal and main function of student management information system for this school is set down and a sound project plan is defined.A reasonable software architecture is discussed and defined in this paper basedon the software requirement and this system is break down into several function modules, wich incluing login,student information and its correlative,reports output,comprehensive query and analysis, common tools, system help and administration. The detailed functionality and process is described for every module. The E-R diagram and detailed database table structure is designed for this system. The detailed design process is presented for som fatal modules. In the user interface design, the UI design principles areadopted in order to improve the usability of the system. VB 6.0 is the software tools which supports oo programming.The software of this system is based on C/S architecture, the database system is MS SQL Server 2000. The system can run on the TCP/IP network and client software runs on Windows platform which involves integrated functions for this school.This project is developed successfully and has been deployed in the campus network of this school, the feedback from the school sounds good; the student management information system realizes computer management for student enrollment, student status records, grade records, charge management and comprehensive query and analysis which raises the management's level and efficiency.Student; MIS ;VB6.0;QL Server 2000;C/S...
