Design And Application Of The Office Automation System Of ChongQing Electric Power Corp

With National Power Industry Framework Reform Plan coming into effective and China's entry into the WTO, Electric power enterprises of China are faced with the ever stiffest competitiveness. Thus the power enterprises are confronted with new challenges on the goals, thoughts and contents of information construction in order to improve their management abilities and operation system. OA, basing on the science of computer, information, management and network communication, a comprehensive human-computer information system, is becoming one of the most important methods to enhance electric power enterprise's effectiveness and decision abilities. At present, OA is mainly based on two platforms: Groupware and Relational Database. Both of them have their strong points and weakness respectively, so the key point is what kind of the platform enterprise is suitable for. Three-tiers architecture is one of the computer models extensively used by customers nowadays. By adding application server between C/S to convert two-tiers architecture into three-tiers architecture, these system problems on extent, convertibility and trans-platform would be easier to resolve and at the same time the system would be more open, safe and maintainable.This article mainly focuses on the following aspects:(1)The innovation of Chinese power enterprises and its influence on information construction, analyzing the requirements of power enterprise's OA system. (2)Modern OA development history, analyzing the present situation and developing trend of OA in China.(3)The different characters of different platforms with OA system.(4)The research on OA system software, analyzing the merits and shortcomings of C/S, the influence of three-tires development on OA system, modern OA system mode and system structure.(5)With the ideas and technology of OA, the point of view of three-tires structure, to offer solutions and technologies to electric power enterprise's OA system.This thesis narrated the adopting of three-tires architecture with relative database into OA system of Chongqing electric power corp. Up to now, this system has been used by Chongqing electric power corp. and some of it's subordinate units, and has been praised of its social and economical effectiveness.
