The Research Of Realizing VOD System Based On CATV Network

With the rapid development and combination of the technologies of Digital-signal processing, Very large integral circuit, computer and communication, the Data-panel is using in TV and TV radio. VOD is just one of these new utilities based on data-video technology. CATV network in China is one very important part of users net. She has very large source and becomes an ideal network because she can solve the bottle neck problem of "the last one kilometer of information highway" .Now, CATV network is single-transfer and is needed to change into double-transfer in order to realize VOD system. In the changing of double-transferring network, there are some very distinguish problems such as integral noise, integral balance and safety of pass. Such problems provide the building and utility of HFC network. According .to the communication principles and the analysis of up-transferring channel, solving idea is put forward based on the advantages of up-transferring channel. Video server is mainly used to answer clients' services and serve for clients. How to store programs will influence the performance of server. This paper put forward solving idea to solve memory I/O, network I/O, expanding memory technology according to the structure of video server. The standard of DVB-C is studied and some conditions are got by simulating the performance of transferring channels, which can decrease mistake characters.
