Nowadays, along with the development of enterprise information digitalization, more and more small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises begin to use management tools like ERP system to normalize the business processes within the organization. However, the traditional ERP system has the problem of rigid business process. It makes the ERP hard to adapt to the changes in enterprise business process, which restrict the development of business, and bring negative impacts to the company. To solve this problem, the paper studies the theory and techniques associated with the ERP system and workflow system, and analyzes several well-known workflow systems. Then this paper makes the business rationalization of engineering change process for instance, establishing a PetriNet flow model based on the analysis. For the best adaptation of continuous changed business process, an workflow management system will be the first choice to fit this situation. However, due to the limitations of current workflow systems, the paper provides a scheduler mechanism based on the message and PetriNet and the routing algorithm. Then the paper constructs a lightweight workflow engine for the PetriNet model, on which the Transaction Transferring System(TTS) is developed. Finally, the paper presents the practical analysis of TTS in a company.TTS can handle dynamic business process definition, and can take advantage of the functionalities of current ERP and its database design, automatically calling the programs either from ERP or other IT system, then transfer these information to the hands of end-users. TTS will help to strengthen the transverse communication between different departments in a company.Through effective business model, TTS will help enterprises to strengthen the synergies between the departments and gain substantial increase in work efficiency.
