This paper analyzes the technology of CAN field bus. Based on this technology, Intelligent temperature transmitter with CAN bus is developed which selects MOTOROLA M68HCS12 microcontroller with CAN bus interface and MAX6675 developped by Maxim, special utility chip for processing temperature signal as the research object, and uses K thermelectric couple as temperature sensor. This transmitter can measure, control and communicate site temperature.The main work includes hardware designing and software compiling. Anti -jamming designing of system is maily considered in hardware designing. With the advertages of computer languages, software function are fully bring into play to reduce the cost of hardware. According to the structure of hardware, the task of software is controlling algorithm, proper software structure and program design.This transmitter can achieve accurate measurement of temperature and a variety of control functions and has the fewer number of system hardware, lower cost, simple connection, strongly protective function of hardware and software, high reliability.
