Studying For The Establishment Of Data Warehouse In SS7 Detecting System

With the expanding of telecommunication network and the effective use and continuous development of SS7, the best assurance for the operation of signaling networks is effective detection. There are two ways to be used to save the database from the detection of SS7. One is the distributing mode in which the data are stored respectively in their remote servers; the other is uploading mode in which the data are uploaded and stored in center database. This infrastructure of the detected database might bring inconvenience to the application and administration of the detected data with the development of the signaling networks. However, it is expected to make full use and supply the administrator and user with a excellent platform to apply these data through integrating the tremendous data, which are scattered everywhere or comparatively massed, into a united data structure. On the other hand, the emergence and evolution of data warehouse make the possibility of a data collection with the subject oriented, integrated, unrenewable, time varing feature. Thus, it is not only obligatory but also possible to establish detected data warehouse of SS7.This thesis focuses on the objective of establishing a detected data warehouse fo SS7. Discussion will be carried out as following aspects:â‘ First of all, as the basis of theory and technology, the basic concepts and principles of data warehouse were analysed, emphasis was put on the structure of data warehouse because of its top prior role in modeling. Secondly, prototype method, combined the strong points of two kinds of databases, was put forward after the comparison of both conventional database and data warehouse. The life span of data warehouse was addressed using prototype method. Then, the design processes of data warehouse and detail step were discussed. Lastly, the differences of OLAP and DM were analyzed.â‘¡SS7 and signaling networks, as the object of establishing data warehouse, were discussed in detail. Practically, the structure of SS7 networks in China was the key as well as the scheme of organizing, routing, the structural and functional requirements of SS7 detected system.â‘¢As the point of this thesis, the method of establishing data warehouse of SS7 is the key in discussion. The content of data and transforming, reforming, collecting subsystems of data sources were analyzed. The logical and physical models were given, as well as the method of data sampling, transforming and loading strategies. The appearance of dynamic data sources raises an even higher requirement for realizing data warehouse, which was analyzed in detail in this thesis. And the solution based on a middleware model was brought forward. â‘£Lastly, a real example of data warehouse was given through Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
