The Development Of Scholarly Book Publishing In China

Scholarly book publishing is one of major tasks in book publishing industry as well as important composition of the scholarly communication system. In a new developing condition, scholarly book publishing in China is facing some unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Therefore, a study on the development of scholarly book publishing is of great significance to Chinese scholarly book publishing's advance in the realistic sense.The dissertation includes five parts.The first part interprets scholarly book's meaning, characteristic and classification, and expounds the significance of scholarly book publishing.The second part reviews the history of the development of scholarly book publishing after the founding of New China, and dissects some problems and some countermeasures appearing in the development of Chinese scholarly book publishing in different historical stage in detail. In addition, this part gives an objective appraisal of the situation of the development of Chinese scholarly book publishing in every period.The third part sets forth some problems arising in the development of scholarly book publishing in China presently.The fourth part analyses the developing condition of Chinese scholarly book publishing at present.The fifth part offers some advice for the scholarly book publishing's progress in China.
