Development And Research Of Network Courseware About Computer Based On XML

With rapid development of modern science technology and computer technology, computer have penetrated in all kinds of society life domains, and Human being have step into informationera. In the information era, people have put forward new request for education,and network teaching and learning is being highly anticipated by people as a newteaching model. Computer and network technology are gradually changingpeople's work, learning and life style. The development of network courseware ofcomputer is to meet those students who want to enhance their diathesis andrequirement for bring up eligible person with ability of computer for 21 century,and offer a kind of good learning condition for students' learning in spare time.This thesis attempts to solve this problem. We take the modern teaching theories and tactics as the guide for ourdevelopment and research of the computer network courseware, we havelucubrated in design of network repository and teaching model combining withthe newest Web technique. There are a lot of shortages in popular model ofexpression for knowledge which is based on HTML, in order to improveexpansibility, operability and reusability about knowledge description, we adoptthe newest web technique (XML technique) to develop the computer networkcourseware for making up these shortages. We use Web page and streaming-media to realize the computer networkcourseware. In the course of doing streaming-media courseware, we do acourseware as an integration of five components: video, audio, caption, syllabusand diagram dividually and manages them separately. We adopt XMLdocuments to manage the database of the components, for their metadatastructures are tree-structures. It makes it possible to manipulate the databasesuch as insert, delete, update and query. A new-courseware-made procedure ismaking the components separately first and integrating them with SMILafterwards. The streaming-media courseware is issued by streaming-mediatechnology of RealNetworks. In order to provide unified and high effect manage means, we build up theB/S long-distance learning model as teaching model based on xml to make upwith the lack of the current B/S three-layer model, such as the heavy load on theserver, etc. We stress on introducing three-layer exam system online based onXML. The design and development of computer network courseware is a gropingcourse that combine the newest web technique with teaching model.
