With the development of computer technology, the current, intellectualized and internetized measure instruments symbolized by the Virtual Instruments develops very fast, which have changed the design method and achieve technique of measure instilments and data systems. The technology of Virtual Instrments represents the developing direction of measure instruments and automatic measure system, applied with the computer technology, digital signals treating technology, the technology of standard General Line and the method of software engineering.The programme method based on graphic software and the developing circumstance of Virtual Instruments are important content in the reseach of Virtual Instruments, are also the base of application and development of Virtual Instuments. LabVIEW that is the product of the company named NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS is the Virtual Instuments developing circumstance that is the most successful and broadest in application. In fact, the concept of Virtual Instruments was presented earliest when emplodering LabVIEW.LabVIEW is a graphic programming language, conforms all functions that communicating with GPIB, VXI, PXI, RS-232, RS-485 and the clip of data acquisition, and have the library functions of TCP/IP, ActiveX etc. which can applicate very conveniently. It also can connect with the language of matlab and C, can develop efficient program.In the first chapter, it introduces the structure and development of Virtual Instruments and the status and application of LabVIEW in Virtual Instruments. In the second chapter, it introduces the link and programming of LabVIEW and handware equipments, mostly introduces the link of NI-PXI8330 and computer and how to realize the communication with generic data acquistion clip in LabVIEW. In the third chapter, it discusses the communication of LabVIEW and database, realized the communication of LabVIEW and PHD database using in Yangzi Petro Corp. using the language of Visual C++. In the fourth chapter, it introduce how to affiliate the intellectualized algorithms, mostly using Artificial Neuron Networks and Fuzzy Controling. In the fifth chapter, it introduces how to long-range control, mostly introduces communication using TCP/IP, and browse in Web using the Web Documents Tool in LabVIEW.The sixth chapter, it introduces the realization of soft measurement in Yangzi Petro Corp. using LabVIEW. Firstly, acquire the historical data and the realtime data from PHD server; secondly send these data to LabVIEW, train using Artificial Neuron Network, measure using ANN, and show the result in the font boad; finally, realize the web browse of whole system.At last, it is summarized that all the paper content and achievements.
