Development And Application On Hybrid CAPP Software

Mechanical product process planning is linked product design with product manufacture in factory. Computer aided process plan (CAPP) is the critical technology to realize CAD/CAPP/CAM integration. However its research, application and development can not satisfied compared with CAD and CAM in today.In this thesis some practical techniques and implemental methods of CAPP system have been deeply studied for the practical application requirements and successfully applied to Dongfang Boiling Factory. snake-like pipe CAPP software.Based on Visual Basic 6.0 , the CAPP software has following functions: part information file input and edit; process file generate ; process file interactive modify; material consumption list; process data and knowledge library manage; process card template create, the software has been verified with following features:The system interface is simple and friend and can be mastered easily which shows the importance of interactive process , and can help process engineers complete the work quickly and accurately.For the consistency of advanced theory and practicability, the software has two process planning methods: generate process file and fill process file interactively.The process data and knowledge rules in software can be updated according to production environment, and the process file template be customized by user.However, to be a practical CAPP system in factory, the software still need to be modified in some cases.
