Virtual operation is a new field to make use of various kinds of medical image data, through virtual reality technology to set up a virtual environment in the computer, aiding doctors in operation plans, trains and guide the operation in the actual operation according to the information from the virtual environment. Scan through (CT) and MRI, images of medical information and a series of image slices are acquired, by all these 2d data, we form three-dimensional human brain model, express the structure and function of the brain thorough the model efficiently. Base on the existing medical human brain 3d model, combine the need of brain operation, we make use of virtual reality technology to realize brain structure and simulate brain operation and simulate brain anatomy. The fast speed rending and virtual anatomy system are low hardware cost and real-time, need only low-cost equipment and can be applied to general PC,Innovations in this research are as follows1. Realized a direct texture mapping based, low hardware cost, and real-time volume rendering algorithm.2.Studied operation simulation technology, simulate the manner of interaction in anatomy. Present a flexible approach of making selection of the organ of a human brain, setting depth and angle of the anatomy. 3.Studied and simplify and refine the method of the body data cut into slices.4. Studied the approach of strengthening the border of the organ by replace the gray information with color.5.provide an idea of combine volume rendering and surface rendering together in order to achieve advantage of both of them. 6.Studied the way of interaction in virtual anatomy, provide an approach of interactive based on simple two-dimensional input equipment such as mouse and keyboard, and then reflecting all the operations to the three-dimensional world. The whole program is finished in JDK 1.30 and JAVA3d platform 1.3.0.
