Volume data visualization is one of the most rapidly developing technologies,which is widely used in many fields,such as medicine,entertainment,aerospace and so on.It represents the 3D scalar data in the form of two-dimensional image,which includes two basic methods: volume rendering and surface rendering.Three dimensional reconstruction and visualization of medical is a hot research topic,which plays an important role in medical diagnosis,anatomy teaching and simulation.Taking the transfer function design as the starting point,this paper mainly studies the rendering speed and rendering optimization,including the following three aspects.In terms of rendering performance,the ray casting algorithm with the highest quality in volume rendering is adopted.Due to the high computational complexity,long rendering time and poor real-time in traditional CPU,in this paper,the ray casting algorithm is implemented by using the parallel computing of GPU.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the pre-interpolation and the post-interpolation transfer function,the pre-integration transfer function optimization algorithm is adopted to improve the rendering performance.In terms of the transfer function design in volume rendering,a manual trial and error method for interactive adjustment of optical mapping parameters is designed.For simple volume data,an automatic transfer function design method based on improved OTSU multi-threshold segmentation is proposed.For complex segmented volume data,the design method of transfer function based on improved genetic algorithm is proposed,combined with the proposed projection image evaluation criteria,which makes the color division between different object categories as far as possible.In the optimization of the volume rendering effect,Blinn-Phong local illumination model is used to render the results,which enhances the depth feeling of volume rendering.For the classified volume data,we present a new method for the blending of different transfer functions,which can better reflect the differences between different tissues.In order to display the profile details of volume data,this paper proposes a volume data clipping method based on voxel selection,which is used to display the hidden surface in the data field.Finally,the volume rendering results are displayed on a television screen in a polarized stereoscopic manner,and a stereo rendering system with rotation,zooming and other real-time interactive functions is implemented.
