The newest technology of knowledge engineering is ontology. It comes from the philosophy and was put forward by Plato first to represent the essence which lies on the phenomenon of the actual world. Since the late nineties of last century the experts of knowledge engineering have tried to use ontology to represent the knowledge deep and acurately.Knowledge engineering has been widely used in many domains,but different development tools and application platforms restrict the correspondence, sharing, reusability of system; so new knowledge systems can't efficiently make use of existing knowledge system, constantly design again and cause great waste of resource. But Ontology can effectively resolve the question. Ontology is originally a conception of philosophy used as depicting the essence of world. Ontology is a kind of specification of conceptualization and depicts the existing conception and relation. It is a collection of conception in common sense, and is a vocabulary list about sorts and relation. The list is a kind ofcommon language with which different transaction agents exchange opinions.It can efficiently eliminate the misunderstanding and help the integration and cooperation of intelligent applications. In information system, interface and object oriented design, ontology is a very excellent tool.Currently the ontology in learing technology system architecture domain doesn't appear. The erect of ontology in this domain has great significance.Because of the large quantity of the content of the Learning Technology System and the rather complex relationships . in it, it is necessary to found an architecture for it so as to facilitate deep understand from a variety of layers and to direct almost every stage of corresponding software systems. So in this thesis I will erect the ontology of Learning Technology System Architecture.In the base of a lot of material,through careful analysis and selection, comprehensive integration, we achieve the domain knowledge of Learning Technology Architecture.The process of getting it is as following:(1)collecting requirement from several approaches, (2)collecting features and limitations from existing systems, products, services, (3)creating the abstraction of subject domain.(4)creating high layer abstraction, (5)achieving the structure from the higher layer to lower layer.Learning Technology System Architecture is a high layer architecture ofLearning Technology System,the objective of this architecture is to designate high layer frame so as to comprehend special system, sub-system and the integration of different systems and to build systems.This architecture isn't a design scheme of one single system,but a frame of a variety of systems,and also do analysis and comparation among these systems.By illustrate sharing components of different systems,the architecture can hence the design and building of components and systems which can be used again and again.Normally the building of ontology has two stages'.conceptualization and formalization.The conceptualization of this thesis adopts the "methontology" method belonging to the the Madrid University of Spanish,which is the maturest and most widely used method in the ontology conceptualization stage. In the stage of ontology formalization I use the ontology editor "ontolingua" of Knowledge System Laboratory of Stanford University , which is comprehensively used in ontology formalization stage.
