With our country's economic information developing rapidly today, the method of traditional counting vote can not meet the needs of the society because of the low efficiency and psychology obstacle. Difficult problem can be solved by vote disposal system design of basing on PC , which may be used not only the small vote but also the large-scale vote of possessing thousands of candidates, and the voting result can been printed with high efficiency at the same time. The whole system's structure is very simple and inexpensive. The system supports concurrent operation of device because USB 100 module is used for communication bridge between AT89C51 and Personal Computer, the speed and the veracity of vote disposal is much improved. A great deal manpower and material resources will be saved by using the system. Then work efficiency will be improved greatly.The vote disposal system is made up of hardware (Optical Mark Reader) and software, Optical Mark Reader read vote and collects the data information of vote, its structure can be divided into mechanical transmission, photoelectric sensor, MPU and USB module ect.The part of chanical transmission that ensures votes to get across the photoelectric sensor placidly and rapidly is divided into stepping motor, gear change mechanism, the part of driving paper and supporting paper board ect. Photoelectric sensor which identify the information symbol of votes is composed of LED and PT. USB 100 provide the two applied programme manners of suppositional COM port and dynamic link library, which reduces the difficulty of the applied program. MPU is put inside the OMR that have the effect of disposing independently in order to enhance the function of OMR and reduce the burden of PC. AT89C51 is the CPU that answers for collecting the data and communicating with the USB 100. Application is provided with the function of creating and printing votes, setting up candidates' information database, printing report forms,communicating with OMR ect.Moreover vote disposal system of basing on PC can be applied in the other aspect, for example, examination, teaching evaluation, democratic election, personnel select, market research and poll ect.
