Mos200 Multi-function Card Reader Machine Design

With wide application of computer, national departments and institutions of education and examination, finance, insurance, transportation, enrolment, taxation, public security, archives and library have a strong request of "electric file". The traditional resolution is data input by high-speed scanner or OMR, and the main problems are: (1) High-speed scanner has image scanning function, but it's not very satisfactory in scanning speed, recognition speed and price, therefore presently only applied in very few fields like e-book, bank, and telecom; (2) OMR has the advantages of high speed and low price, and is widely used in examination and enrolment, paper checking, statistics, investigation, and declaration. While it can only recognize blacked mark and bar code information, and can not realize simultaneous mark data and image information input because of the lack of image scanning and recognizing function.Aiming at solving the problem, since 1999, with 20 years OMR R&D experience and related scanning technology, we have researched multi-functional scanning equipment integrating optical image scanning and optical mark recognition technology. We successfully developed MOS200, MOS600, MOS800 series products.The article gives a detailed explanation to the R&D process of MOS200, design and realization of the whole system, including designs of circuits, drivers, and application interface program as well as MOS200 application cases.
