With the expanding of the enterprises' scale and the increasing of the product spectrum, the design information tends to explode.In most enterprises, the management of design resource (document, design experience etc) is confused and the reuse percent is not high. These problems would make the schedule of developing product late and would increase the additional cost, even may turn the management of the enterprise worse. Therefore, the contemporary enterprises' competition focus on how to lower the design cycle, shorten the time on market and promote the ability of the enterprises' competition.This thesis aims at the problems mentioned above and analyses the present status and trend during the design activities. The design repository theory is studied .With the enterprise practical status, the concept of design resource management is put forward based on the design repository theory, the methods about the design resource expressing, organization and querying are analyzed, the model of design resource management which supports the design activities is established, the architecture of the design resource management system is studied, and the key technologies such as drawing and document management, configuration management, standard parts management and the system management are studied mainly.Based on the design resource management theory, the system based on Web is built by utilizing the orient to object modeling, MVC design pattern, Java and database etc technologies, the functions about the design resource arrangement, organization, storage and reuse are realized.At last, the system is tested by the bundling money machine which is the financial product, and the practical test shows that the design resource can be managed reasonably and effectively in the system. Thus, the work efficiency is improved, and the goal that would lower the design cycle, shorten the time on market and promote the ability of the enterprises' competition is attained.
