Research Of Web Application Based On J2EE Platform

In the recent years, the J2EE platform has increased quickly. It has been the factual standard and criterion of developing enterprise application.The platform is an uniform set which is made of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) ,services and protocols. The set includes the characters and functions ,which are needed in construction of distributing and more-layers application; In addition, the set provides vigorous and stable services to develop and configure enterprise application.At the same time, with the quick development of Internet technique, Web technique has developed in a far range ,from browsing simple document in the first time to developing complex enterprise application, So it has been a hotspot of Internet technique development currently to construct Web application with more function , more flexible application and easier development.By right of its characters of strong migration and easy expansibility, the J2EE platform has gained the wide attentions from the most developers of Web application. During developing enterprise Web application, the combining of the J2EE platform and Web technique has become the mainstream trend in Web technique development currently.Now, these two types of developing mode about Web application based on the J2EE platform, which are the traditional development mode of Web application and the developing mode of Web application based on MVC ( Model-View-Controller ) pattern.The latter can overcome many disadvantages in the traditional development mode. And its excellent feature is to separate display logic and operation logic, which can meet design requirements of the more and more complicated Web application. So it has become the first choice for developers to use the development mode based on MVC pattern for Web application.Apache Struts is one of the most excellent application frameworks which are used to implement the design patter of MVC .The main question is how todesign the configuration file of struts-config.xml. The Struts not only provides itself controller component, but also conforming some correlative techniques to implement model component and view component, which are all components of MVC design pattern.After analyzing many Web applications based on the J2EE platform, this paper describes the Struts framework based on MVC design pattern in detail. And after implementing some Management Information System by the Struts framework, the paper deeply probes into core developing techniques in details. The system has many characteristics, such as cross-platform development support, easy expansibility, easy maintenance and so on. It is a beneficial reference to resemble research on Web application.
