Design And Development Of Signal Analysis Instrument Based On USB

The Universal Serial Bus is a new kind of serial bus interface criterion, which is put forward by Intel, DEC, Microsoft and IBM to solve the contradiction between the increasing PC peripherals and the limited slots and ports on the mainboard. It has the advantages of hot attachment, high transmission rate, and so on.This paper introduces the criterion of the Universal Serial Bus in brief, and designs a data acquisition system based on USB interface, using the EZ-USB controller of the Cypress Company and the technology of CPLD. The system is mainly composed of the hardware circuits and the signal analysis software. The hardware circuits are made up of USB interface circuits, control circuits and data acquisition circuits. And the programs of the software include the firmware of the USB chip, the drivers of the device and the test software including the realization of digital filters, FFT, and so on.In the last chapter, several factors influencing the dynamic performance of the ADC are analyzed briefly, and the corresponding measures are presented as well.
