Flight simulator plays an important role in hardware-in-loop simulation, and a high-quality simulator is critical in developing a high-performance aircraft.This paper focuses on the performance improvement, it develops the controller of three axises and adjusts the control parameters in frequency-domain. It also concerns about some factors that influence the low-speed performance and draws some conclusions about the key points of performance improvement. Further more, the paper researches the friction and EMC problems in flight simulator, and some methods are proposed to solve these problems. Finally, the paper studies some advanced strategies. Genetic Algorithms(GA) is used to optimize the PID parameters. Neural Networks(NN) and Model Reference Adaptive Control(MRAC) controllers are put forth to improve the performance of the simulator.
