Research Of Flight Arrival Interval Control Based On Model Reference Adaptive Control

To solve the problem of air traffic crowding, this paper research the problem of flight arrival's time interval control in air traffic flow management at final approach in terminal area. According to the operation characteristic of flight arrival dynamic process, bring out reasonable assumption condition, turn flight arrival process with the attribute of discrete event dynamic system into the problem of analysis and synthesis on control system, with the sequence of flight arrival event as independent variable, flight arrival's time interval as controlled variable. Further more analyze and deal with actual flight data, setup ARMA model of flight arrival dynamic process with using identification technology. Apply the theory of model reference adaptive control (MRAC); take the actual method of first arrival fist service, design control system of flight arrival's time interval control, and supply MRAC arithmetic which is suit to flight arrival's time interval control.Using the simulation software of MATLAB to simulate the flight arrival's time interval control system which is based on MRAC, simulation results of several methods of MARC show that the variance of flight arrival's time interval obviously decreasing, arrival process becomes smoother. Improve the problem of air traffic crowding, elevate safety of airport operation.The analysis and design method to flight arrival dynamic system supply new way to air traffic management research using control theory, developing air traffic management's assistant decision system, and further realizing air traffic control automation.
