APS(Advanced Planning and Scheduling) is a software package for planning and scheduling. It can efficiently help Manufacturing Industries to control the production planning. APS can provide visible and detailed plans, which can be created automatically with all kinds of regulations and requirment constrains, for present and future. Production planning can control and process the due date orders. It can manage all resources, and most of all respond quickly to unexpected results. APS considers all factors in the production process, e.g. shift, work hour, instruments, availability of materials, known and unknown device maintenance, current load, ability. Anyhow, it can provide more precise and practical plans.Nowadays few domestic people study in the field of APS. The research work is basically limited in the stage of theory. This thesis researches on some applications of APS in the background of one SCM project. Aiming at one distribution problem with time constraints, a kind of optimized arithmetic based on Table-Working method is presented.Chapter One introduces the concepts and history of SCM, Logistics and APS, analyzes the relationships among APS, SCM and ERP, emphasizes its importance, and then gives the problems to be solved in this thesis.Chapter Two introduces methods of system design and development, implementation of SCM, applications of APS in SCM. Then it is dicussed how to optimize supply chain with APS.Chapter Three first introduces the applications of APS in logistics management and the development of logistics management system, then the problem to be solved in this thesis is brought forword in the background of one project. In Chapter Four, the classical Table-Working method is presented. Based on it, a kind of optimized arithmetic, which can be applied to logistics management system, is recommended.Chapter Five summarizes the whole thesis and presents the next work need to do in future.
