The Study Of Application On Network Storage Technology In Henan Oilfield

With the development of computer network, the system of network becomes more complex and the data flux is increasing in the modem enterprises. Traditional discrete storage architecture is hard to solve the problem, such as data storage, share, and centralized management for its limits of disunity format of discrete data and net jam during data transmission. Network storage emerges as time requires, which includes network attached storage(NAS), storage area network(SAN) and IP storage(ff-SAN).Firstly, the thesis introduces the development of storage from traditional SCSI technology to NAS technology, SAN technology and IP-SAN technology, which syncretizes NAS and SAN. It also analyses their characters and limitations and compares their differences, and then it points that IP-SAN will become the development direction of network storage. Secondly, the thesis weightily analyzes iSCSI protocol, which is used to achieve IP-SAN, including its working principle, working way and application. It also points the advantages of iSCSI by comparing iSCSI with FCIP and iFCP that are other protocol of IP-SAN. Thirdly, it analyzes the actuality of network constructing and the requirement of data conformity and share in Henan Oil Field. It also analyses the data flux, storage capacity and user number and gives their mathematic models and tendency charts in 5 years. Then it points the problem that has existed and the target of network storage in Henan oil field. Then, it uses iSCSI technology to design a network storage scheme to meet whole information needs by using storage products based on iSCSI protocol, which has fully thought its expansibility, security and reliability and has accomplished automatic concentrated management, remote backup and disaster tolerance. Finally, it has detailedly discussed the management and backup of network storage.
