Today computer peripheral equipments all pursue high speed and widely generality. Especially when the users transmit and deal with digital image data, much data require high interface between the computer and peripheral. Universal Serial Bus is popular interface, so the film scanners apply this interface criterion with characteristics of hot attach & detach, low-cost, plug and play, easy expansion, high speed.The reality of the increase in the speed accelerates its application from 12Mbps of usbl.l criterion to 480Mbps of usb2.0 criterion in the scanners.This paper mainly introduces the hardware and software design and debug of usb2.0 interface between the host computer and the film scanner, and give prominence to the advantage of this project. By testing practically, good result of high speed and steady performance is acquired.Temperature control system must be supplied in order to obtain good quality image. So this paper also introduces the theory and design method of temperature control system composed of the temperature sensor, the semiconductor cooler, the programmable PWM impulse generator, fan controller, the radiator and the fan.
