A Study On The Development Of Museum Tourism

As a form of tourism, museum tourism has quietly boomed in China. In some areas, Museum is also an important tourist resource. In the effect of traditional idea, Museum still limits its function to election, research and education. And Museum doesn't focus on its function of entertainment. Especially in the concrete development of tourism, related research is still scarce. As the same of Museum, Tourism doesn't pay much attention to this problem either, not only in the theoretical research, but also in the practice. This article takes the south of Jiangsu as an example, by analyzing its present developing state and problems, the present state of museum tourism both at home and abroad, the nature of tourism and the function of Museum, illustrates the feasibility and necessity of developing museum tourism, indicates the thought about developing museum tourism; Based on the present state of museums in the south of Jiangsu, we put forward three principles and three tactics of developing museum tourism.
