The lower automatic extent is existed in measure systems of wood drying kilns which constrains the development of wood drying automatic control. To solve this problem, by synthetically analyzed wood drying technics and the application of automatic control in this field, intelligent automatic measure was applied in the research and development in wood dying kiln measure systems.In the duration of studying this task, how to select sensors such as temperature EMC and MC is firstly considered. Error sources in traditional measuring methods were analyzed. Difficult problems in wide range equivalent resistors of MC were solved. A new method of measuring EMC was suitably adopted. Intelligent automatic measuring system based on main-slave AT89C55 CPU was developed, which could sequentially acquire several measured parameters. FranklinC51 was used to write code. The intelligent technology such as self-adjust, self-stable-zero, self- compensation, self-judge and anti-noise were applied in designing hardware and software. Dynamic compensation and high precise measure were realized. The trend of intelligent automatic test technology were fully embodied.The system has been used in wood drying kiln production process since December 2002. High precise, real-time scanning, accuracy test is validated by operational result. Reliability of measure result, convenience of fit and debug, long distance of signal transmission, lower price and capability of anti-noise are the performance characteristic of this system.
