Researching And Developing Of Web Service Of Embedded Device

Embedded devices are widely used in our daily life. With the rapid development of information-sharing, embedded computing and network communication, it's possible and necessary to intergrate embedded applications with traditional desktop applications. At the beginning of this article, the above is introduced and shows the inevitability of researching Web Service of Embedded Devices.The main part of this thesis explains the simpleness and merits to show the feasibility of introducing Web Service architecture into embedded devices. Then, different models of supplying or invoking Web Service on embedded devices are demonstrated from the point of view of application architecture. It is the core of the thesis that key protocols are researched and developed in detail, as well as the relationship and bindings between those protocols are analyzed. In the end, a practical embedded device supplying Web Service is founded. Simple HTTP Server and SMTP client are combined on the embedded device. The designing, developing and debugging methods used though building the model show the nomal process to realize Web Service on base devices.Web Service is a latest technology and not perfect at this time. It's another brand-new idea to develope Web Service on embedded devices, which is worthy of further studying and researching. In the last part of this thesis, some laten problems are also discussed.
