| Sichuan wide-band multimedia network expansion project is "nine-five" important construction project. This thesis is based on the target of Sichuan Telecom development the developing trends of transmission techniques . The thesis collected the necessary data from the different areas in Sichuan province. The multimedia network has two layers and is composed of main net and access net. The main net maintains the network conlection of ATM net STM-16 relay circuit. Access net maintains the double-star shaped structure and has 622M/155M relay circuit. This net coveres the complete knots of region, municipality and prefecture around the province. The thesis gives the design of the related communication systems, auxiliary systems, transmission index and electric systems, etc, in detaile. And the solutions for dealing with the problems during the construction process are also put forward.
