| Distributed object technology that occurred in 90's 20th century provides a strongly solution for the development of network software. Distributed computing technology is to develop, deploy, manage and maintain distributed application system whose main application goal is to implement resource share and cooperative work on the network computing platform. Now, distributed object technology has become the core technology of building service application framework and software component, it shows great life-fore in developing large distributed application systems.CORBA is a object-oriented specification drawed by OMG. CORBA has the advantage of system-independent, operation-independent, language-independent, protocol-independent, version-independent, and provides a solution for integrating the software with each other under the distributed environment. Its basic principle is that different software modules are compatible with each other by ORB soft-bus. So any application program or software system which measured up to the CORBA criterion, can be integrated into CORBA system conveniently. As a new object-based distributed computing technology, CORBA supports a new way for building large complex distributed application.In this thesis, we introduced the basic concept about the technology of distributed object and middle-ware; then we introduced the concept of CORBA and ORB; next, three different kind of products base on CORBA were introduced : VisiBroker, Orbix 2000 and TongBroker, we also studied their structure and the working procedure carefully and deeply. Through the study and the analysis, the valuable date and favorable suggestion are provided for the understanding and choose of the different ORB products for the enterprise.Based on that, we developed and discussed an ORB module system based on CORBA, and also introduced the structure and the procedure of it.Finally, an example of distributed application system were introduced to help the above content to be learned very well.
