The Impact Of China's Entry To WTO To Our Publishing Industry And Corresponding Countermeasures

This thesis analyzes and probes into the clauses of WTO Agreement relevant to China's publishing industry. Taking the current situation into account, this article points out the gap between China's publishing industry and those of other developed countries and indicates the impact of foreign publishing industries to domestic industry such as book retailing, audio-video publishing, printing, protection of intellectual property rights, bookstores on internet and electronic business. This article also analyzes the favorable elements of China's entry to WTO to the development of publishing industry in China. This thesis also concludes with the proposal of corresponding countermeasures to enhance the continuous development of China's publishing industry.
