On the study of the reliability of communication network,one is about connection,including invulnerability(connectivity,cohesion),survivability and availability;another is about performance which is completed by network when componects are in failure,namely performability,xwhose measure is effectiveness and performability.This thesis argues that availability of repairable metworks has the same polynomial as reliability of unrepairable networks that have the same topological structure,but the meaning of parameters in the polynomials is different,so many algorithms for reliability polynomial,can be extended to the calculation of availability. This dissertation discusses the MTBF and MTTR's calculation of all-pair and terminal-pair can be obtained using relevant formula,but obtaining the coefficients is NP-HARD,sothose analyses are limited in small metworks.On the study of network traffic performance,this paper presents an approach for calculation the terminal-pair rate when routes may have more than two links and node may block.The method can be embedded in the recursion method for analyzing the performance of nonsidering the called-busying.On the study of researches on performability,this dissertation integrates the performance why reliability on components'level,and presents approaches for analyzing throughput rates of component and terminal-pair,which are just their effectiveness.They can be used for analyzing nonhierarchical and hierarchical network,and even all entwork considering the called-busying.This is just the analysis of the effectiveness of network.Finally,this paper pass the calculator to imitate with the method that experiment the test,to the business that whole network traffic performance and performability to proceeds the analysis.
