With the development of electronic technology and computer science, It is necessary for products to be made smaller and more intelligent. In order to meet this need, Embedded techniques have been researched and widely used. These techniques will not only update traditional industries also newly products. Based on foreground of use and requirements of development, this paper will make a thoroughly research of Embedded techniques and software development of Mobile Terminal based on Embedded techniques.Firstly, the paper gives an introduction of Embedded system, presents its concept, feature. It also contrasts two methods of development of Embedded system and proposes a method and presents some techniques of system to debug and test.Secondly, the paper intends to research what is Embedded software and how to develop it At first, it analyzes concept and feature of Embedded software, presents limitations of prevailing software engineering methods . It also make a research for Embedded computing models and argues that it is important for development of Embedded software with property of real-time and concurrence. It then presents some newly techniques of Embedded software, introduces concepts of real-time operating system and gives differences between real-time OS and common OS.Finally, the paper makes a research of an example of Embedded real-time application based ondiscrete events. It introduces background knowledge about the application of Mobile Telephone. Thus it gives an analysis about function and requirement of software development of Mobile Telephone. It also give a research of software architecture and of some software modules such as E-RTK and MMI ,gives a summary of software techniques during development of this software.
