| "IT-Tourism", a combination of Internet technology and tour, springs up recently. Mean well, it give the traditional tourism a livingness. Then when exploiting the Macao Tour Guide Information System (MTGIS), it should be based on the web in order to keep up the development of the times,.After investigating the Management Information System (MIS) and Tourism Information System (TIS) based on web, analyzing the limitation of the exiting TIS, the system structure, realize technology and design method, we choose the web B/S/S three-layer system structure to construct the system, use the relatively mature ASP+ADO/ODBC technology and the ASP page-embeded ActiveX components to realize the active page and kinds of extended functions.After roundly analyzing the tourism information, we proposed the ideas of setting up the Bus Route Inquire Sub-system, Touring Expert Recommendation and E-Business Sub-system. Firstly, according to our study on the psychology of travelers, we build the passenger-route-select model with the purpose of "least change firstly, shortest distance secondly", propose the question of bus route aggregation and the N shortest paths algorithm combining Dijkstra algorithm and Moore-PaPe 's chain table management technology, which is proved valid. This Bus Route Sub-system provides a new thinking in the shortest path question of public transportation and it is a good reference to make further study on it. Secondly, we give a preliminary discussion on the tour E-Business and Expert Sub-system whose simple frames now have been built. The Touring Expert Sub-system is the combination of the expert system and Web-DB, in which DBMS manages both the DB and the knowledge base of expert system. Thereby, this sub-system opens up a new "on-line" model of touring expert system.The system is of openness and universality, in addition to usefulness, practicability and friendly interface. To develop the web-TIS for travel cities, It has a rather import theoretical and applied significance.
