The glass shell of the kinescope is an important part of the computer screen. In order to identify, classify and count the different kinds of glass-shell on product line. It researches the methods of measurement and data management about glass shell at two positions. And it gives a system based on machine vision which includes software and hardware.The paper designs the optical system which adopts active light source and provides the uniform background light. The paper utilizes a host computer and video branch to solve the conflicting problem of two pictures collected from two positions. Moreover, the paper adopts new effective measuring methods to ensure that the system runs stably.The paper develops the software system by using modularization methods. It includes image collection, image processing, self-study, serial communications, data management and long-distance controlling. At the same time, the paper designs dynamic web database by utilizing network technology.The methods of image processing includes filtering, sharp, etc. The self-study system realizes the design of classifying model of glass-shell by interactive method. Data management model includes the function of dynamic display, index and printing. Long-distance controlling model can switch the method of image processing automatically by choosing type.In short, the paper realizes integration of measure system on two positions, including classifying and data management.
