Based on the large amount of multi-channel data obtained during the geological exploration, the technique of visualization was used in this paper to express these data in the form of graphics and images, so that the sightless phenomena from the data could be transformed into the form of visual display and the implicit significance in the data could be revealed. The disadvantages, that the geological laws are reflected not so directly only from the data and not easy to be understood and analyzed by the technicians, could be overcome in this way.The state-of-arts in the theory research and the software application of Scientific Computing Visualization was introduced in the beginning of the paper. Based on the characteristics of the measured geological data, a system model for the visualization was presented to the visual display of measured geological data. The system was composed of three modules such as data management, data processing and generation of visual result display. In the module of data management, the data-base was used to sort management and storage data. ADO programming technology was used and the development method was introduced. In the module of data processing, the co-program method was presented by integrating VC++6.0 and Matlab seamlessly. By compiling the functions in the Math Library of Matlab C/C++ into Dynamic-Link Library(.DLL), the sharing function library for data processing was established. In the module for visual result display, the development methods based on Rhinoceros and OpenGL werediscussed respectively. The methods and all developing steps were described in details. In the end of the paper, the construction of the software system developed was summarized. An example was given to show the procedure of the software and the visual display results.The methods presented in the paper made fully use of the advantages of existing software. The multi-channel measured geological data could be managed and stored effectively. The complicated algorithm could be realized easily by integrating VC++6.0 and Matlab seamlessly. The satisfied visual display results for the geological data were obtained by developing the visual display module based on existing software. As a result, many practical problems in the geological exploration could be solved by using the developed software. There would be a favorable application foreground for the developed software. The co-program method presented in this paper could enhance the efficiency of software development and raise its quality. In addition, it is also meaningful to enrich the theory and technology of Scientific Computing Visualization and enlarge its applications.
