For the past few years game development point of view, are no longer working in 2D mode screen is simple, no interaction period, this game can not meet people’s needs, more people seek to bring people to the game content and visual experience. 3D games now account for a large market, it is realistic visual experience, more diversified operating mode, the game story of innovations to meet the needs of players the status quo. 3D game design and development will be the current and future trends.The Open GL as a 3D gaming applications Editing Interface(API), is very suitable. Because Open GL across programming language, cross-platform, these features give designers easy game, there are still a lot of game designers use it to complete the 3D game design. For domestic 3D gaming market is still developing stage, Open GL has a powerful graphics functions, which for domestic designers better application provides a convenient. Open GL has many features for graphics rendering, making the creation of an object, scenes more three-dimensional, lifelike, so showing a beautiful 3D game screen, you can give the player a realistic visual experience.This will be based on Open GL, about 3D game design and development, combined with Unity to design a combination of shooting and Snooker 3D games, it is both a sports game is a puzzle game that allows the player to give two different experience more interesting. This article first two chapters of the first detailed description of the Open GL and some basic knowledge and concepts of the game engine are compared, the third chapter describes the environment configuration and design of Open GL game, this game was the creation of scenes and characters, rendering, to create realistic effects, the fourth chapter analyzes the paper design of 3D games to achieve the key technology for the application of the Open GL 3D game rendering, collision detection, particle systems, MD2 model rendering, 3D sound technology, the final complete the game.
