Computer cluster is developing with the distributing Computer system.Specially the Internet accelerate the development of Cluster. Cluster is a low-cost computer system,It is buildup by many workstations or PC nodes,It can provide high availability and high performance. The cluster can divide there class:High availability cluster ,Load banlance cluster and High perfomance cluster.The software and hardware on cluster system are different in common computer system, especially the the cluster need low time delay and high reliability network. The key technologies of cluster are :load banlance ,process load and process moving ,filesystem .There are many cluster solustion ,but almost all based commocial OS ,they are high cost. Linux is a open free OS base GPL ,it can easy make cluster system.The research of Linux cluster is prosperity in overseas, but we are in beginning .This article is integrate with ChongQing information gulf ,for research a low cost and high perfoemance resolution.This article analysis the basic technique and key technique of cluster. Then analysis software and hardware in designing a cluster, specially the software system.The Single Image System is popular cluster it will be a standard of cluster. This article research the SSI,and design a Linux SSI. Load banlance is a important part of cluster,the load banlance is divided three class: static, dynamic and self- adapt.The dynamic load banlance has the research value, This article analysis the dynamic load algorithm.In the end , analysis algorithm the LVS cluster ,and improve one algorithm . At last build a cluster demonstration system,the system has the guidance value of ChongQing information gulf.
