The FTP virtual server based on Linux kernel TCP and cluster structure is researched and developed, and some achievements are acquired. In the dissertation, research background, theory, design, realization, test and performance evaluation are introduced.The Virtual Server KTCPVS implements the application level load balancing inside the Linux kernel, it is also called the layer-7 balancing. The overall load of the layer-7 balancing in the user-space is relative high, it is a good practice to implement it in the Linux kernel to avoid context switching and copying memory data from the kernel space to the user space, or vice versa. We have realized FTP virtual server KTCP_VS_FTP with KTCPVS. The scheduler algorithm is the virtual directory algorithm.To verify the high availability of the project, the functional test and the performance test are also conducted.The innovation of the project is accomplishing the FTP virtual server based on Linux kernel TCP and cluster structure. In the course of researching and developing, a lot of work was completed. The FTP virtual server KTCP_VS_FTP developed by us is very useful.The chief contribution of the project is the realization of the FTP virtual server based on Linux kernel TCP and cluster structure. Especially, we have researched thescheduler algorithm and realized it. In the end, we have acquired some achievements during the researching and developing.
