In recent years, along with the big development of our country building industry , people in many places remove and restore ancient buildings to protect them. How to protect these precious civilization legacies ancestors sent to us? It needs us all making joint efforts.At present, CAD(computer-aided-design) technology can not keep up with the needs in some special domains. People have set about developing CAD of the next generation. In the new CAD system, Integration, Networking and Intelligence have become the subject of times. But firstly people must realize the parameterization in designing process.Applying the parameterization design in the architecture-design is one kind of bold trial. Because architecture-design is very short of the rational faculty that Parametric-Design asks. Designing methods in Chinese ancient building is the one of " small the arriving of cause is greatly ": starting with from the details of a build, it defines each constructs the geometry size, and finally makes up the building.The Parametric-Design technology is called the Dimension-Driven technology. It has a parametric-core that drives kinds of data, and brings the geometric mode into being, so people can accomplish the whole process of production. The Parametric-Design can liberate composer out from heavy and tired working, accelerate the process of designing, and decrease the storage of data.If people want to set up an ancient building, people must understand the principles of ancient building. We divide an ancient building into three major parts: Platform base part, Wall part and Roof. In this article, we describe the constructions in these parts, and analysis the parameter installation in the decomposition methods of each part of an ancient building with the angle of computer parametric designing.â‘  The platform base is divided into two forms: the regular one and Xumizuo. We summer the similiarities and differences between them in the text. We install the same series parameters in the system, and extract and purify out the different parts between them: The form of Douban stone. Calculate a rule of base height, and the parameteric process of platform base.â‘¡ We combine pillar , sets of brackets on top of the columns and stone base of a column forming " pillar type ". We introduce the " piece " technology and parameter drive technology into pillar designing progress. It can be inserted kinds of "sets of brackets ontop" and "stone base of a column" against the point we want.â‘¢ Only when we find out the combination laws of the roof in an ancient building, the parameterization design of roof becomes reality. Big kinds of ancient building roofs are now classified into three forms: Lu top, Renzi top and circle Cuanjian top. We expound covers and each component compositions of each kind of scope. We have narrated the formation method of roofing and how qualitatively at roofing going forward line tile material fills in. Finally, we have accomplished the structures such as part of beams and structure in roof.After realizing Parametric-Design in Chinese ancient building, people can introduce the principles in modern-architecture design. Though modern building is designed full of perceptual and individuality, but its' components still are built rationally. So people can certainly realize Parametric-Design in modern-architecture!...
