As one technique of digital communications MSK is very attractive in mobile radio environment. Along with the rapid development of VLSI technology and computer technology, DSP has been used widely in communications areas. In this paper, a fully digital MSK transmitter and receiver based on DSP are studied and implemented.An analysis and simulation is achieved which is about the method of a fully digital MSK modulation based on DDS, and the symbol timing algorithm of carrier frequency offset based on Fourier transform of the sequence of differential phases. The design and debug of a DSP target board is finished. Based on the target board the fully digital MSK modulation, synchronization and demodulation algorithms are successfully tested, withsatisfactory result.The digital modulation, synchronization and demodulation method put forward in this paper is relatively new, achieving a high practicality. The DSP target board designed in the research can be used as the hardware platform for other DSP development subject in the Lab.
