Researching And Developing Router-Implementing RIP Routing Protocol

With the rapid spread of Internet and Intranet, there is a large raise of the connecting devices products such as repeater ,routers,but almost all of which devices depend on importing . So.self-reliantly developing router is the need to develop our national-industry.and could produce good economic benefit.In our project ,we adopt the embed real-time oprating system(VRTX) .used this OS corresponding develop-tools on the AMD 186cc platform,we developed a serial products such as routers remote access server. Based TCP/DP protocol stack suported by Interaiche company, the routing protocols include static routing protocol > RD\ OSPF .we modify them to fit for practical enviorment.On the secure aspect ,the filtrated-packets function on the firewall were added.Configuration interface imitated configuration command of CISCO router is friendly and simple.At the last phase of our project.we design some typical cases to test our router roundly and strictly. The result of test show that our router have reach our design technic index.My paper basically studies the RIP routing protocol and narrates the implement of RIP on the HT-2500 serial router. First.it explaines the principles of RIP(routing information protocol );then , introduces the design idea of whole software system and the system interface of RIP ; in chapter 4, discusses in detail the implement of RIP and porting RIPV2 to Interniche TCP/IP; in chapter 5, the RIP routing configure command and its implementing are discussed;at last, narrates the development environment of embed real-time system and the method of testing RIP ,and gives some idea about RIP future.
