With rapid developing, modern wireless communications become more and more complex. Consequently, the high demands for radio administration are advanced, and radio monitoring station begins to develop towards mobile monitoring and automatic monitoring. Because traditional radio monitoring system is composed of a spectrum analyzer and a single or a multi channel receiver, system performance and automation has been restricted greatly. The technology of automatic test and software radio, combined tightly with computer science, which realizes versatile functions by means of software, provides a chance for developing high performance radio spectrum monitoring system.The author brings forward a scheme of VXI bus based broadband digitalize monitoring receiver, on the basis of his deep research on VXI bus technology and visual instrument software architecture. The thesis is combined with the project closely ,introducing the research achievement of author on system design, signal processing arithmetic and the control software of VXI system.The system adopts the technique of the broadband intermediate frequency digitalizing software radio based on bandpass sampling theorem. After sampled, the signal is processed by DSP module with VXI bus interface. The system performs signal analysis and spectrum monitoring function by means of software fully. The system has 6.8MHz digitalizing bandwidth and 70dB instantaneous dynamic range, which can be obtained by using RF/IF converter VXI3570, high precision digitalizer E1437a and proper signal processing arithmetic. The thesis analyses and emulates the signal processing arithmetic of monitoring receiver in detail, particularly in the performance and improvement of spectrum analysis arithmetic. The digital IF signal is converted to zero IF by digital down converter, then taken FFT spectrum analysis with Hann window in advance. The thesis concludes that spectrum scan speed can reach 680MHz/s at 1kHz frequency resolution when it has 8192 points complex data. The arithmetic is performed by using multi parallel DSP processors. The thesis also advances parallel processing project with sub band divided using DFT filter banks. It provides an efficient arithmetic of the filter banks which casts down operations through sharing some operations in filter processing. Last, the thesis does a research on the application in the system of VISA, then analyzes the program control method of VXIplug&play system and the software architecture of monitoring receiver.
