Enterprise data exchange is like the artery of the enterprise information management system. Credible and efficient enterprise data exchange is the base for an enterprise to increase efficiency, reduce cost and improve competitive ability. In this paper, we separate the enterprise data exchange into two parts, one is internal enterprise data exchange, the other is enterprise data exchange inter enterprises. We discuss the two type of data exchange about their characteristics, techniques and implementations. We also give comments and comparison about the major B2B data exchange standards.This paper first describes how to build a homogeneous distributed data exchange system on the base of EDI System(electronic data interchange), which implements on the background of CWMMIS Information System. The data exchange system build in an hierarchical architecture which comprise of two layers, the upper is the creation and manipulation layer for the application data, and the lower is the bottom data transport layer. Meanwhile, the paper gives a dialing private net solution to upgrade smoothly the bottom data transport layer (EDI system).The latter part of paper focus in an experimental B2B electronic business platform with the name EDIMQ, our project team designs it and implement core parts of it on the base of the practice of the research of internal data exchange. The EDIMQ system is aimed to provide a data exchange platform for variant enterprise Management Information System, and provide a Internet access solution for the small enterprise without its own information system. Logically, the EDIMQ system's bottom data transport system works like traditional EDI business mailbox, but it screen the different implementation method and make it perspective to upper application layer. The upper application layer's data exchange is peer to peer, that is to say, the data transformation should be defined between the trade partners themselves. For convenience to interchange data with legacy MIS database, the EDIMQ system defines an application layer data specification named epXML, which need epXML document or data flow contains the data in the form of database table structure and data block. The EDIMQ system also defines a data transformation template mechanism and a translator we call epTranslator, to make it possible to transform data among different MIS database automatically.
