Research On Network Access Control Based On Embedded Digital TV Set-top Boxes Control Unit

With Embedded industry developing rapidly, more and more Embedded products come into our life. Digital TV set-top boxes are one of them. Digital TV set-top boxes bring High-definition TV programs to families, and meanwhile expand the traditional TV function. This thesis is just out of digital TV set-top boxes.This thesis is the network portion of digital TV set-top boxes control system based on ARM9 and embedded Linux.The main requirement is to access to and control digital TV set-top boxes through a browser in the PC.This thesis based on the process of actual development explained hardware platforms and key technologies of the control system in details.In the aspect of hardware, this thesis starting with requirements of the project introducing the selection of core hardware and related properties eg. S3C2440,Nor Flash,Nand Flash etc, and, at the same time, made a detailed description of on the EEPROM, DM9000 chip address allocation and other key hardware operation and electrical connections.IIC bus transmission principle and its driven structure in the Linux system were also discussed in this thesis.In the aspect of software, the establishment of the embedded Linux environment, and cut and transplantation of the operating system were introduced in this thesis, including an exhaustive analysis of the boot process of bootload. Meanwhile, this thesis introduces three types of the related technologies in device driver development under Linux system.In addition, in the part of Network access control, this thesis described selection of scheme, boa open source server configuration and transplantation, analysized exhaustively the compilation of CGI script and implementation of PC-side web scripting and explained the use of EEPROM chip and the implementation of programming under Linux, followed by implementation of a UDP server program by the use of socket.In the last part of this thesis, the concurrent and the competition appeared in the process of project development were discussed; the causes and conditions of the concurrent and the competition were analyzed; solution scheme was given; solution process were exhaustively explained.
